Project DIAMOnD Digital Transformation Center (DTC)

Industrial Additive Manufacturing. Expert Support. No Equipment Investment.

The Project DIAMOnD Digital Transformation Center (DTC), located in Auburn Hills, Michigan, provides businesses with access to industrial-grade 3D printing equipment and expert support to help launch, validate, and scale commercial applications.

Originally created to support Project DIAMOnD participants, the DTC now operates as a professional, fee-for-service manufacturing resource, available to eligible businesses statewide and beyond.  Whether you’re prototyping a new product, scaling up production, or exploring 3D printing/additive manufacturing for the first time, the DTC provides a low-risk path forward.

What You Can Do at the DTC

Produce Parts Without Capital Investment
Validate products and applications using industrial polymer and metal 3D printing—without purchasing or operating complex equipment.

Work with Additive Manufacturing Experts
Collaborate with a technical team that helps identify the right process, materials, and workflows for your application.

Accelerate Time to Market
Move quickly from concept to functional prototype or short-run production using advanced equipment and proven processes.

Protect Your Designs and Process Knowledge
Upload and manage part orders through a secure digital portal with transparency into production parameters and the ability to reuse workflows for future orders.

Capabilities at a Glance

The DTC currently supports polymer and metal additive manufacturing, along with professional post-processing and inspection tools.

How the Process Works

1. Submit an Inquiry

Reach out to the Project DIAMOnD team at contact@projectdiamond.org.

2. Upload Your Design

You’ll receive access to the Project DIAMOnD DTC Portal, where you can upload your 3D model (STEP or STL).

3. Receive a Quote

Our team reviews your request and provides a transparent quote based on material, process, and production requirements.

4. Approve & Produce

Once approved, your order moves into production using the appropriate industrial equipment.

5. Invoice & Fulfillment

Invoices are generated through Zoho Books, and parts are produced and delivered according to agreed timelines.

Pricing Philosophy

DTC services are priced competitively, consistent with Project DIAMOnD’s mission to accelerate digital transformation for small and medium-sized manufacturers. Our goal is to reduce barriers to adoption—not create them.

About Access & PricingProject DIAMOnD includes both grant-funded programs and fee-for-service offerings. While some companies may qualify for grant-supported equipment, training, or services, the Digital Transformation Center operates as a professional service offering available to all businesses. Pricing is transparent and aligned with our mission to reduce barriers to advanced manufacturing adoption.
